I got a photo featured on the Flickr blog for Flickr Friday again :D HAPPY DANCE!!!!!!!
The theme was Once Upon A Time & I can say I had a different idea for this photo, but time was running out & I saw my new notebook on my desk & thought it would be funny. Time for taking the photo with my mobile & a quick edit on Flickr, max 5 mins, which makes me feel even better that it was featured ;)
Featured on Flickr Friday Again!
Surprise Instructions
Gotta love surprise instructions :)
Baby sewing pattern with full instructions for all the baby clothes & on the back – How to line a slim skirt, just in case you have the time ;)
Yarn Stash Busting For Baby
Stashing busting doesn’t work so well if you keep buying new stash!
This is me in a nutshell, I keep saying I will not buy new fabric or yarn until I’ve used up most of my stash & then I get a new idea & go buy more.
I have used up some yarn stash on baby projects, I made this cardigan for my son, but managed to do the half treble crochet stitch wrong (UK = htr, US = half double crochet, Svenska = halvstolpe). So even though I followed the 6/9 month sizing, it was more 3/6 months & my son only wore it twice.
Other yarn stash busting for baby, is yet another ripple blanket – Yes I do love these & want to start a new one :) I also wanted to try something new & thought a granny stripe looked nice. Both are with the same cotton yarn, don’t remember the make/company, but I’ve had them for a few years.
6 Months Already!
How can 6 months have passed already?!?
They say cherish this time because it flies by & it really does. My tiny little Lucas is becoming a tiny little person, a very stubborn little person, just like his parents.
I’m exhausted, I miss sleeping & sewing & having a brain that actually works, but when he smiles or laughs or talks his little gurgly language & blows raspberries, none of that matters!
Ripple edging for ripple blanket
My ripple blanket has always been just a tad too short. I finally made it longer by adding ripple edges on both of the straight sides.
A little crochet here & there is what I have time for lately & thank the stars for that! I’m happy for the small spurts of creative outlet I’m able to do, without these I would go insane ;)
No time for sewing………
No time for sewing……… but that hasn’t stopped me from buying loads of new sewing patterns & more fabric. At least I’ve managed to do some crocheting otherwise I would have gone totally insane not being able to do any crafting.
And now I got the crazy idea to catalogue all of my fabric with photos, measurements & where it is. Hopefully it will make sewing a little easier & help me use up my stash (that’s if I get any time to sew). I sort of know what fabric I have & where it is, but I usually drag everything out from it’s hiding place in the closet & spread it all over the place – can’t really do that anymore.
So tell me am I completely insane for trying to do this with a 5 month old that doesn’t really let me have any Me-time? ;)
Featured on Flickr Blog
To try to keep my creativity alive I joined the Flickr Friday group on Flickr & this week my photo was picked as a favourite & featured on Flickr Blog!
That just totally made my day :D I don’t get much sewing time at the moment with my little one, but soon I hope he will be able to entertain himself enough for me to sew….
