I am quite tired after running around in a corset for 2 days, but it was so much fun. I got quite a few compliments, which is always nice.
Here are a few photos, they aren’t very good, but you get the idea.
My lovely friend Clara took great photos with her new camera & boy am I jealous, but I bought a new sewing machine & she is so much better at the photography than I am, I’ll stick to my sewing.
Here is a poster that the lovely Susanne Demåne made for us, using one of Clara’s photos & she is wearing the costume I made for her, I have all the photos Clara took, so I’ll be putting more photos of the costume on my flickr.
The main part of my little exhibition, some old costumes from when I went to school & a few photos of other dresses.
Another costume, I made a duct tape doll for the costume, I thought it looked cool hanging there.
Finally a photo of me in my costume, I made the corset about 7 years ago, the skirt & underdress are new. There will be a proper top made for the costume, I have the fabric I just didn’t have enough time to make it. I’m also having trouble deciding if I should make an overdress or a jacket.
I borrowed a purple cape & cream coloured hand muff from my other lovely friend Gudrun who runs the yarn shop in town, A great big thank you for letting me borrow them, I would have frozen to death otherwise.
